| Conference area |
For internal meetings and for renting to societies and companies, an auditorium
seating about 80 people is available, the Hugo Hammar Hall. It is named after the
founder of the Götaverken Shipyard, Hugo Hammar, who was an honorary
doctor of engineering. The Hall is a highly regarded meeting-place and is used
for club meetings, fairs, exhibitions and the like.
In the Hugo Hammar Hall there is a grand model of The Swedish Ship Götheborg given to the museum by Åke Karlberg. Click at the picture if you want to see a bigger one.
