Purpose and Goals of the Foundation
The Foundation for Education and Research in Radio Engineering and Telecommunication Technology
and Their History has been formed, with the aim of ensuring access to the Radio Museum for the
general public and supporting research into the history of radio. The purpose of the Foundation is
to promote research, education, information and other means of conveying knowledge about
radio engineering and telecommunication technology and their history.
These activities are to be carried out chiefly through
- economic support for research into the history of radio and telecommunication
- stimulation of research and education efforts,
for example, by awarding grants to those who have been successful in
maintaining and increasing levels of competence and knowledge in the
field of radio engineering and telecommunication technology and their
history
It follows from these stated aims that the Foundation is also to support research and
education at the Radio Museum.
