Radio for Spies and Partisans

Back

On this shelf you can see 2 hand-held Handy-talkies which were used in the invasion of Normandy. The shortwave receiver Sweetheart in mini-format was used by Norwegian resistance fighters during the war to get information via BBC Radio Broadcasts.

On the right side of the gable there are 3 receivers of the same kind that were mounted in the Swedish DC3 plane that was shot down by Russia in 1952. The plane was equipped with the highest class radio receivers purchased from the United States.
